Five gunmen in military uniforms stormed a four-star resort in Cancun, Mexico, arriving on the beach on jet skis. The men raced along the beach firing machine guns, terrorizing tourists who were relaxing on the sand.
According to Hernández Gutiérrez, the Quintana Roo chief of police, the five men were actually drug cartel members, and their goal was to scare away tourists from their territory.
